Now the latest version of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote have the ability to recognize when fonts are missing and gives you a way to replace them. So Iamp;#39;m using Pages version 6.1. This can happen very commonly if say you take a document from one Mac to another and the font isnamp;#39;t on that other Mac. Maybe you have a laptop and a desktop. Or maybe you send the file to somebody and they donamp;#39;t have the font. Or you get one from somebody and you donamp;#39;t have it. Or maybe you just havenamp;#39;t opened a Pages document in a long time and youamp;#39;re missing the fonts now. For instance, as an example, Iamp;#39;ve got this title font here. Iamp;#39;m using Papyrus and Iamp;#39;m using Harrington here for the second line. So what Iamp;#39;m going to do, is Iamp;#39;m going to quit Pages. Use Ctrl if youre using a Windows system, and Cmd if youre on a Mac OS. If you cant find an End key on your mac keyboard, hold down the down arrow for a few seconds instead, to select all the text to the end. Then simple hit Delete to banish the text forever, and make your Preflight panel very happy!
You can uninstall Typeface app by simply removing it from the /Applications folder. Since Typeface does not any separate processes or plugins, removing the app is all you need to do.

Using the Selection Tool (V), simply double-click on the text to edit it. Using the Type Tool (T), click on the text, and then you can edit it. If you cant edit text in Illustrator, have a look at the Layers panel (Window Layers) and make sure that its not locked.
To erase parts of the text, you need to convert the text to an outline, for which the eraser tool will work. However, this is a one-way street: Once you have convert the text to an outline, it is no longer editable as text. If you need to edit the text, be sure to do it before converting it for erasure.
Select the Divide tool (Shift+X) from the Tools panel. Click and drag the Divide tool over the letters you want to cut. Adjust the division count in the Options bar to specify the desired number of segments.
