whatamp;#39;s up everybody this is Dallas down here in this video I just want to cook Lee show you how to get rid of unused material / shaders or textures and images that might be just kind of hanging out in your scene and you just want to quickly clean it up so hereamp;#39;s your scene here and for me Iamp;#39;ve been importing and exporting out of ZBrush and blender and when youamp;#39;re doing that the ZBrush is like applying its own default type of material and when youamp;#39;re importing those objects into blender it applies it as well and brings it in with the the high polish that you bring in from ZBrush so letamp;#39;s say you just want to clean those out and you donamp;#39;t want those whistling lingering around just like in Maya what youamp;#39;ll do in Maya is youamp;#39;ll just select everything just put like a Lambert one alright so in blender how do you do that so all you have to do is this is your normal default scene here just click on this little button here

In the material datablock and texture datablock lists (the drop-down that show the texture or material name) there is a little X, click it. This will remove the material or textures association to your object. The materials and Textures will not actual be deleted until you save and close your Blend.

The Erase tool works across layers, so as long as clay is in scope it will be affected by the Erase tool. Note: Using the Erase tool with a large brush can impact responsiveness while the scene is updated. If you find that clay is taking too long to be removed, try decreasing layer resolution or decreasing brush size.
The Erase tool uses Erase Brush types (soft, point and stroke).
Scroll down and expand the Settings properties for the selected material. Find the Blend Mode and change this from Opaque to Alpha Blend. This will allow the transparent areas of this specific material to be rendered properly. Now when we render, the cube is transparent.
To remove texture (without building a new one) just right-click on the mesh model in the Workspace pane then choose Remove UV/Remove Texture options from the Remove sub-section section of context menu.
The brush can be changed in the Tool Settings. Soft and hard eraser brushes are settings variations of the same Erase Brush. you can create many brushes, each with unique settings to obtain different effects while erasing. The Erase Brush has also other two special eraser types: point and stroke.
Usage Select an erase brush of type Soft/Hard. Adjust brush settings. Click and hold LMB or use the Pen tip to delete strokes on the viewport.
