so youamp;#39;ve typed in some text here in your text box in Photoshop well to exit the type or text tool you might think you just press one of your shortcut keys but that doesnamp;#39;t work like V is the shortcut key for the selection tool and suddenly you have a v in your text box somewhere sometimes you canamp;#39;t even find where you accidentally typed to exit your text box quickly what you need to press is the Escape key the Escape key will commit your type and exit out of that now it retains the tool that youamp;#39;re on so I still have the type tool selected then though I could press V to switch over to my shortcut key for the selection tool or move tool here in Photoshop so get used to that make that a habit pressing the Escape key to exit out of your text boxes before you press any other shortcut keys so you donamp;#39;t accidentally type in your document and this works across the board for docHub applications except maybe after effects which might require you to press
