right so how to get rid of overlapping lines in illustrator so that our laser cutter doesnamp;#39;t end up cutting the same line twice Iamp;#39;m just going to draw two simple squares and Iamp;#39;m going to make sure that thereamp;#39;s an overlap so this point here would be cut twice by the laser cutter because we have two paths over that one line this area here so to get rid of that we select both shapes and we go up to our top menu under object and we select group now that forces those two items to become one effectively and then we go over to our Pathfinder palette and we use the outline tool now once I click that itamp;#39;s going to turn my shapes into paths so then itamp;#39;s just a matter of resetting the stroke and ungrouping them okay and what youamp;#39;ll find is now we have three shapes one two three and thereamp;#39;s no second line under there
