Photoshop Scratch Disk Full indicates that the hard drive, partition on the hard drive, or other storage device being utilized by Photoshop as a temporary storage location for its data is full and cannot store any more information.
So lets take a look. Open the image in Photoshop. The first step is to open the image you want to edit in Photoshop. Duplicate the layer. Select the Dust and Scratches Filter. Adjust the settings. Apply the filter. Use the Brush Tool to touch up. Save your image.
Be certain everything you need is saved before doing this, as you wont have access to earlier versions of projects. Open Photoshop. Select Edit in the menu bar. Select Purge. Choose the files or cache you want deleted or select All. Choose OK when you get the confirmation popup.
By default, Photoshop uses the hard drive that your operating system is installed on as the scratch disk location. If that disk drive is full and you have a secondary hard drive or a separate hard drive partition, you can select that as the scratch disk location instead.
You can tweak scratch disk settings in the Preferences Scratch Disks section. Choose Edit Preferences Scratch Disks (Win) or Photoshop Settings Scratch Disks (Mac). In the Preferences dialog, select or deselect the active check box to enable or disable a scratch disk.
