Cancel printing from Windows On the Windows taskbar, at the bottom-right corner of the screen, right-click the Printer icon. Select Open All Active Printers. In the Active Printers dialog box, select the printer you want. In the printer dialog box, select the print job you want to cancel. Click Document Cancel.
How to Clear the Print Queue Through Control Panel Within the Windows Taskbar, select Search or Cortana in the bottom left side of your screen. Select Devices and Printers. You should see all of your external devices and printers. From the menu below the path, select See whats printing. Cancel the print job.
Stopping and restarting print queues (Windows) Step 1: Open the Printers scanners menu. If the print job is currently in progress, double-click on the printer icon located in the taskbar in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Step 2: Open the print queue. Step 3: Delete the print job.
Once in the printer menu, look for the Printer History or Print History option. This is where your printer stores information about recently processed print jobs. Select the Delete or Clear option to remove the print history from the printers memory.
Clear Print Queue Select Start. Type Command. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Type net stop spooler then press Enter. Type del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q then press Enter. Type net start spooler then press Enter. The print queue on your Windows should now be cleared.
To manually clear the print queue on a Windows machine: Stop the print spooler. Open your running services (services.msc) Right-click on Print Spooler Delete the print job(s) Open file explorer. Navigate to: C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS. Restart the print spooler. Open your running services (services.msc)
