what is going on guys Joey friends are here at Flex training systems first off I want to apologize for the sound quality I am not at my normal setup at the moment and I had a little bit of time so I figured I would crank one of these videos out so Im just using the microphone that I have and its a pain in the ass to record with my phone you know if its too long and I email it to myself and has to its just its just too many steps that I dont want to go through at the moment but I figured for an informative video as such this should this should suffice so as you guys know by the title were talking about just mistakes that Ive seen at nationals mistakes that Ive seen meets some of the stuff might be really obvious some of the stuff might be maybe not so obvious what inspired this video was at nationals I just saw I just saw all of happening that you know was very unfortunate I mean obviously like I have to take care of my people and it just sucks when you know I see other people

Im sure many of you who have seen a video of a powerlifting meet before have seen the three white or red lights that appear after a lift. These lights indicate a good lift (white lights) or not a good lift (red lights). In order for a lift to count, you must have 2 out of 3 white lights.
A bench press performed without the usage of a bench shirt is referred to as a raw or unequipped lift.
Competing raw means you are only allowed to use an approved weight belt, an approved singlet, approved wrist wraps, and chalk. Competing equipped allows you to use knee wraps, a squat suit, and a bench shirt in addition to the items allowed by raw competitors.
Equipped Single Ply Squat suits and deadlift suits will consist of single ply polyester not to extend beyond 4 from the top groin. The use of single ply briefs is permitted. Bench shirts will consist of single ply polyester and must be closed back.
In this situation, if its been a week, just repeat the last workout you did set-for-set. If longer, reset 5% if youre under 40 and 10% if youre over 40. If its been 34 weeks since your last workout then reset 10%, no matter what.
Keep in mind, you cant use straps during a powerlifting meet or competition, so make sure you do a fair amount of your deadlifting without straps. As a powerlifter, you can, however, use Gymreapers wrist wraps and knee sleeves in any USPA sanctioned competition.
The difference between the two classifications boils down to this: Raw lifters shun the use of some or all supportive equipment such as weightlifting belts, knee wraps, bench press shirts, and squat suits. Equipped lifters dont.
Bombing Out: For our readers who arent sure what this means, bombing out is something that happens at a powerlifting meet when you fail all 3 of your attempts of a particular lift and therefore cant post an overall score. In Powerlifting your final score is called your total.
