okay so the aim of this screencast is to show you how to remove features from a vector layer shapefile or whatever in QGIS and so that it wonamp;#39;t be really boring Iamp;#39;ll show you two ways to do it first you have to start editing your layer here you see a shapefile with points there I made them big so when I use the selection tool and letamp;#39;s say I select those two points you see they become yellow if Iamp;#39;m in editing mode and selected features sorry you can go into bin gone once the day you would want to save your layer or if you press the stop editing it will ask you whether it whether or not to - to save your layer another way to do it if you go to that a good stable it is you can select features directly from here letamp;#39;s say seven feature ID number seven is the yellow and you can go to the bin bin through here or through here and you can also use the column filter due to the selection again number seven the only visible one i cannot select it go here g

Alternatively, click the control point and press the Delete key, or press the D key and click the control point.
Delete using the Delete Point tool Click the Delete Point tool. in the Calibration Points group, on the Location Referencing tab. Select the calibration point you want to delete on the map. Click Run. If more calibration points are ready to be deleted, repeat the steps above to delete them.
Working with editing points To delete a point, click the point while pressing Ctrl. To have the point treated as a smooth point, press Shift while dragging either of the handles attached to the point. Once you stop dragging, the point will be changed to a smooth point.
There are two ways to delete records in ArcMap. You can open the attribute table and delete records, or you can use the Delete Features tool (only on spatial data). Deleting records within the Table window always takes place in an edit session.
Click off the chart on another cell. Click on the datapoint you circled. Press delete key.
Deleting data sources Verify that you are in layout view if necessary. Right-click the graphic table element and click Properties. The Table Properties dialog box appears. If necessary, click the Data Source tab. Click the data source you want to delete on the Data Source tab. Click Delete. Click OK.
To delete the point, right-click in the box to the left of the points row, then click Delete id. Click Close.
Control-click the selected points, then choose Delete Point from the shortcut menu. Press Delete.
