obviously um right now a lot of the emphasis has been on diagnosing lesions and initial documentation and when we do clinical studies or even in just the way that we get to know how well our patients respond to our everyday treatments we typically rely on Direct visits or on telemedicine thats video based um and what weve been working toward is using an app where the patients can actually take an image at multiple time points during the healing process um and inform us as to the results of what we are doing but also be a much more efficient way of testing new modalities of therapy going forward and so I think um in the short term [Music] um others have done this there have been multiple attempts at at these sort of apps but its become much more practical with the newest generation of smartphones and the amazingly capable cameras that were seeing on the new generation of smartphones

But in recent years, many states across the US have passed laws requiring businesses to delete consumers personal data on request, including: California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), first passed in 2020 and amended in 2023 by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA)
How do I ask for my data to be deleted? You should contact the organisation and let them know what personal data you want them to erase. You dont have to ask a specific person you can contact any part of the organisation with your request. You can make your request verbally or in writing.
Once the data has stretched beyond data retention requirements, its time for it to be deleted. This might be because it has been archived for the amount of time required by law, or because it has been stored indefinitely, but has not been looked at for months or years.
The UK GDPR introduces a right for individuals to have personal data erased. The right to erasure is also known as the right to be forgotten. The right is not absolute and only applies in certain circumstances. Individuals can make a request for erasure verbally or in writing.
Its important to properly delete any personal information before you sell or dispose of your hardware, so that it cannot be accessed by anybody else either by mistake or for malicious purposes. Also, if you have a device that is faulty think about what personal data is stored on it before you dispose it.
Under the GDPR, you can only hold personal data for as long as you need it. One of the 7 principles of the GDPR is the principle of storage limitation, which is the idea that personal data should only be kept long enough for it to be processed for its stated purpose.
Individuals have the right to have their personal data erased if: the personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose which you originally collected or processed it for; you are relying on consent as your lawful basis for holding the data, and the individual withdraws their consent;
Is retaining personal information still necessary? Entities should delete or de-identify information that is no longer needed. If there is no requirement or justification for retaining the information, entities must take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify the personal information, as required by APP 11.2.
