hey guys trevor here and in this video im going to go over what happens when you erase all content and settings its pretty quick and easy so lets jump right in now im going to open up the settings here on my iphone scroll down and tap on general and then scroll down until i get to transfer or reset iphone and then you can see its option is erase all content and settings at the bottom here and if i tap on that it says erasing will sign out of your apple id it will remove all of your personal data so the phone can be traded away or sold or given to someone else so essentially what happens is what youll do is back up everything onto your icloud it will erase and log you out of your apple id your icloud account it will erase all the photos the videos it will remove any downloaded apps and basically restore the entire iphone back to the same exact settings and what it looks like when you open it up as a brand new iphone so this is a great option if you are selling it or getting rid of
