Adding a New Line in a CSV File Double-click the cell where you want to insert a line break. Click the location where you want to break the line. Press Alt+Enter to insert the line break.
If the value contains a comma, newline or double quote, then the String value should be returned enclosed in double quotes. Any double quote characters in the value should be escaped with another double quote.
New Line Characters (Reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newline.) If you upload a CSV file that contains new line characters in the fields other than Text Area Field, it will be saved to the system but only Text Area Field preserves the new line if you edit the Asset.
So quote characters are used in CSV files when the text within a field also includes a comma and could be confused as being the reserved comma delimiter for the next field. Quote characters indicate the start and end of a block of text where any comma characters can be ignored.
Using the "From Text" feature in Excel Click the Data tab, then From Text. Select the CSV file that has the data clustered into one column. Select Delimited, then make sure the File Origin is Unicode UTF-8. Select Comma (this is Affinity's default list separator).

Ensure that the file is encoded in UTF-8 without BOM....To do this in Notepad++, follow these instructions: Select Encoding in the Notepad++ toolbar. Select Convert to UTF-8 without BOM. Save the file, and try to import it again.
Here's what works for me: Make data corrections in Excel or CSV. Save file As Unicode Text. Open NOTEPAD. Open the Unicode file you just saved using NOTEPAD. Use your cursor to highlight a blank area that holds a single tab 5a. ... Hit Cnrl-C to copy the tab character. Type Cnlr-H to open the Replace function box.
Replace a Question Mark Similarly, replacing a question mark must be done the same way; the question mark is also a wildcard. Once again, put a tilde in front of the question mark before you click Replace or Replace All. Clicking Replace All will then only replace the question marks and not the rest of the text.
