Syntax: To find the sequence number of the ACE you want to delete, use show run or show access-list name-str |1-99|100-199 to view the ACL. Use ip access-list to enter the Named-ACL ( nacl ) context of the ACE. In the Named-ACL context, type no and enter the sequence number of the ACE you want to delete.
How to Delete ACL Entries From a File Delete ACL entries from a file by using the setfacl command. $ setfacl -d acl-entry-list filename -d. Deletes the specified ACL entries. acl-entry-list. To verify that the ACL entries were deleted from the file, by using the getfacl command. $ getfacl filename.
But if you are looking to remove all ACLs from a file or folder, the solution is to use the brute-force option: chmod -N which removes all access control entries for a file or folder. chmod -RN will do the same recursively for a folder and its entire contents.
To delete everything in a directory run: rm /path/to/dir/* To remove all sub-directories and files: rm -r /path/to/dir/*
setfacl sets (replaces), modifies, or removes the access control list (ACL) to regular files and directories. It also updates and deletes ACL entries for each file and directory that was specified by path. If path was not specified, then file and directory names are read from standard input (stdin).
So, the setfacl command is a Linux utility for setting and modifying file and directory access control lists (ACLs). -m or modify=acl: modify permissions. -x or remove=acl: remove permissions. -b or remove-all: remove all permissions. -d or default: apply default permission to newly created files along the path.
To disable S3 bucket ACLs manually you have to do two steps: Reset bucket ACLs to the default Private settings (see here) Set Object Ownership for the bucket to Bucket Owner Enforced (see here)
