have you ever had to rate a bit of a complex selector but it caused some specificity issues down the line to solve that problem you can use the where pseudo class function to strip away the specificity of any selector in your css i have this very high specificity selector right here that is making it blue but if we put this inside of a where pseudo class function itamp;#39;s actually removing the specificity and just to show you if i take this away it will turn back to blue but with that there this has more specificity as a single element selector than this if every of multiple descendant selectors that you have to comma separate to get different pseudo states or things like that you can always use the where selector to include multiple selectors within the function as well if ever you needed this to actually include specificity for whatever reason you needed to overwrite some style and itamp;#39;s not working you could use the is selector instead and of course this could be really u
