hi itamp;#39;s Ron from the Writers Workshop just taking a minute to talk about exclamation points well we do all love to use them especially in our emails they seem necessary in emails because weamp;#39;re trying to convey emotion but really in our writing especially we want to try and avoid this ! as often as we can itamp;#39;s a punctuation mark and there are really many other ways that we can try and convey our ideas and get excited about them without using an exclamation point my rule is no more than one ! per page and if itamp;#39;s less so much the better last thing you want to do is write with a forest of exclamation points you canamp;#39;t see the trees for the forest you canamp;#39;t really follow what you mean using punctuation marks if thereamp;#39;s plenty of exclamation points give it a try try working on your writing without exclamation points try short punchy sentences of two to six words try conveying the emotion and the excitement of your writing by using other
