hi everybody welcome back to the studio um hope youre all well today were going to continue working on the portrait by Henry liver of Mrs Calbert uh last week we learned a little bit about his history and his life and we started the cleaning process so today were going to pick up where we left off and we are going to continue cleaning the face so um lets get to it so as you can see now were halfway through cleaning the face and removing that very discolored varnish which also is holding some uh dirt and grime in there as well you can see its quite heavily recessed in the texture of the painting So this ladys wearing a very elaborate Bonnet with very um large lace frill and bow on top so shes obviously made an effort for this portrait um so the identity of this is Mrs Calvert and we know this because um Mr liver Siege was friends with Michael P Calver um who was just two years older than the artist and they were both closely associated uh together um they were both painters Mich
