It is inconsiderate, but unfortunately common, for guests to fail to RSVP. Anyone who receives an invitation has an important obligation to reply as soon as possible. And yet so many dont. Some forget; others procrastinate and then feel guilty, so they delay even longer.
What Percent of Wedding Guests Decline? How many invited guests will decline a wedding invitation? A good rule of thumb that many wedding professionals agree on is 20%, says Nowack.
If guests miss the RSVP deadline and want to attend, they should docHub out to the host and confirm they can still attend. Showing up without RSVPing or docHubing out is essentially showing up unannounced and could put the host in a really bad spot.
You want to provide a valid reason, as having to change your RVSP last-minute is not ideal, says Grumet. However, you dont need to make your explanation too lengthy. You dont want the tone to come off as all about you! I am regretfully docHubing out to let you know that we need to change our RSVP to your wedding.
If you have a massive 1,000 person wedding I would expect a little more than 20% to RSVP no. Typically weddings ranging from 100-300 guests follow the 20% guideline closely. You should also be prepared for guests to show that did not RSVP.
If you go into your dashboard and click on website pages- our wedding-Other Events-Edit or Delete! Hope this helps!
Wedding guest counts can be a tricky thing and are sometimes hard to estimate. On average you can expect that 20% of your invited guests will RSVP they cannot come to your wedding. However, there are a few things that can make that percentage decrease or increase.
How to Manage Your RSVPs Like a Pro Only give guests one point of contact. Include a deadline. Number the RSVP cards. Pre-stamp all return requests. Confirm your RSVPs. Know which guests are important. Introduce yourself at the event.
