Microsoft Word has many ways to delete comments. One way is to right-click on the comment, press Delete Comment, and agree to it. Or go to the Review tab, click the comment symbol, and pick Delete Comment from the list.
You delete word (anchor), the comment goes too. Put a space anywhere within the text: wo rd. Delete the wo and delete the rd, leave the space. Thats your new anchor for your comment.
Delete all comments from a document Open a document that contains comments. Select the Review tab in the ribbon. Under Delete, select Delete all comments in Document.
Deleting Text. To fix a typing error, press delete (to erase characters to the right of the cursor) or press the backspace (to erase characters to the left of the cursor) key as many times as necessary to back up and delete the error, then retype.
They sound synonymous but deleting and erasing a file are two different things. When you delete a file, you just reallocate it on the system making it harder to find, i.e., the files remain present in your system but are no more accessible. When you erase a file, it is gone forever.
Turn off overtype mode: Click File Options. Click Advanced. Under Editing options, clear both the Use the Insert key to control overtype mode and the Use overtype mode check boxes.
