Changing name on ticket: Changing a traveller is free of charge within 24 hours of booking the ticket (with some exceptions, details on link below). Beyond this cooling off period, the flight will need to be cancelled and rebooked, which can attract additional fees and the original price will not apply.
If you need to change the name of the passenger, you can cancel the original ticket as per the conditions of the respective price package under which the ticket has been purchased and make a new reservation with a different passenger name.
You can change the name on most flight tickets but the airline will normally charge you an administration fee to do so. Some airlines will allow you to change the name on your reservation because of a spelling mistake but wont allow you to transfer your flight to somebody else.
Currently, the tickets are non-transferable, hence, name changes on a confirmed reservation are not permissible. You will need to cancel your ticket and book a new ticket with the new passengers name. Cancellation charges, if any, will be applicable ingly.
Can I travel under an incorrect name? Definitely not. Under the Transportation Security Administrations (T.S.A.) rules, the name on the boarding pass must match the passengers government-issued ID.
Are name changes allowed? Generally, only minor name changes or corrections are allowed, such as fixing a typo or updating the ticket to reflect a legal name change (e.g. last name change through marriage). Name changes to transfer flight tickets are generally not allowed for a few reasons.
In case of International travel, the name should be entered matched exactly as it appears on the passport i.e. complete LAST NAME and GIVEN NAME. Middle name if any should be added after First/Given Name separated by a blank space. Given or First names submitted with a single Alphabet is not permitted.
