so periodically i see that restaurant groups have applications in their restaurants or a link to an online application that asks the candidate for their date of birth or their social security number and you really shouldn't have those things listed on the application so i would check your applications and make sure you don't have those listed and if you do i would remove them right away also there is a law called ban the box and this law essentially doesn't allow employers to ask the candidate to check a box saying whether or not they've been convicted of a crime there's a whole lot of states and cities across the country that require that you remove this box i'm going to add a link to this video and you should check your state and see if the law is in effect and if it is i would remove that immediately from the application as well thank you
