Contact us
Display the References tab of the ribbon. Click the Insert Caption tool, in the Captions group. Word displays the Caption dialog box. Using the Label drop-down list, choose the caption label you want to delete. Click on Delete Label. Click on Cancel to dismiss the Caption dialog box.
To delete the caption, you can just highlight it and press backspace (or delete it in any other way youd delete normal text).
To delete a caption select it and press Delete. When youre finished deleting captions, you should update the remaining set of captions in your document. Press CTRL+A to select all of the text in your document and then press F9 to update all.

Removed closed captions In the Captions pane, select the Remove caption button next to the captions tracks that you want to remove.
Enable View Formatting Marks to ease editing. Select the caption paragraph (just like youd do for ordinary text) and press Delete or Backspace . Delete also the paragraph mark for the former caption.
