[Music] hello my name is david kersley a certified solidworks application engineer with go engineer in this video we will demonstrate how to quickly make a new part from a multi-body part using the delete keep bodies command we have a part or a multi-body part that we receive that has over 635 bodies to it ive gone ahead imported it and taken all the bodies and put them into a single folder in my feature tree to reduce the size of the tree what we want is to take this connector and this single connector here and put it in its own individual part file one way that we can view that is using the delete keep bodies command in the search command type in delete and as i type in delete the delete key bodies command appears left mouse click on delete keep bodies i can either select to delete bodies or keep bodies it will populate this little box right here and these are going to indicate the bodies we want to keep in this case we want just the connector so ill come over to the multi-body pa
