Removing a Bates stamp in docHub can be done easily within docHub. If you no longer require the Bates stamp on your PDF document, follow these instructions to remove it: After opening the program, you can navigate to the Tools menu and select the Edit PDF option.
To remove Bates numbers from a PDF file: On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Marks group, click the arrow next to Bates Number and click Remove Bates Numbering. Click OK at the confirmation prompt, and the tool will scan the document and remove all instances of Bates numbering.
The Board strongly encourages briefs and accompanying exhibits to be sequentially numbered, also known as Bates Numbering. Bates Numbering can either be done within the PDF itself starting at the first page of the document or it can be handwritten at the bottom right hand corner of the page.
Bates numbering best practices Use the right number of digits. In Bates numbering, the number of digits in a number is often used to indicate how many pages are in a specific document set. Add extra information. Make sure each number is unique. Keep it consistent.
Bates Numbering is a method of indexing legal documents by assigning a unique sequential identification numbering to each page, file or image to make the task of organizing, retrieval and identifying important documents a lot easier.
Follow these steps to take out Bates Numbering in your PDF using Acrobat: Open the PDF file containing Bates Numbers. Choose Tools Edit PDF. In the secondary toolbar, choose More Bates Numbering Remove.
How to add Bates Numbering to a PDF in docHub. Open the file. Click Tools. Select Edit PDF. Choose More. Click Bates Numbering and Add. Select Output Options to customize the serial numbers. Click OK.
