Right-click on one of the selected column headers. In the context menu, select Delete column (or Delete columns for multiple). The column(s) will be removed from your sheet.
To pick a file, click it once. Then hit the Delete button at the top. You can also remove multiple files simultaneously. Click the first file and click on other files to select them while holding down the Ctrl or Command key.
How to remove unwanted spaces and characters Go to Extensions Power Tools Start to open the add-on in Google Sheets: Access the Text group on the add-on sidebar: Click on the Remove icon to run the tool: Select the range with your data and choose between three ways of clearing the selected range.
Use the File menu to select Download As and then choose a file format that doesnt include metadata, such as plain text (. txt) or PDF. This will remove any metadata that is stored with the document. Use a metadata removal tool.
Put a file in the trash On your computer, open Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides. Next to the file you want to delete, click More. Remove. The file will be moved to the trash section of Drive. Learn more about finding and recovering files in the Trash section of Drive.
To replace text: Type the text you want to find in the Find field. Type the text you want to replace it with in the Replace with field. Click Next or Prev and then Replace to replace text. If you want to replace all occurrences of the text within the document, click Replace all.
Find and Replace is helpful for deleting words in bulk. With Google Docs, enter the word or words to be removed in the Find field and put either a space or nothing at all in the Replace with field, essentially deleting the words.
Once you are in Google Docs, go to the Edit drop-down menu and click on the Select all option. There are many options for you to operate on the selected content. Right-click the mouse, you can cut, copy, paste (with or without formatting), delete, and clear the formatting of the highlighted texts in blue.
