Delete a file attachment from an email message youre composing Open the email that contains the attachment you want to delete. In the Attached box, right-click the attachment, then click Remove. Or select the file in the Attached box, then press the delete key on your keyboard.
Delete multiple files In the sheet or report, select the Attachments icon in the right panel. Check the boxes next to any attachments that you want to delete. From the Actions dropdown at the top of the pane select Delete Files.
To simply remove an embedded file or object, select it and press Delete.
If the target is to delete multiple attachments simultaneously, press and hold the Shift key on the keyboard. Now click the first and last attachment and then press the Delete key on the keyboard. All attachments would be deleted at once.
You can delete individual attachments from a cell via the Attachments preview dialog. Click the three-dot icon that appears when you hover over an attachment cell to open the Attachments preview dialog. From here, click on the Delete icon to the right of the name of the attachment you want to delete from the cell.
Locate the file that you want to delete. Select the file and press your Delete key, or click Delete on the Home tab of the ribbon.
Break a link On the Data tab, in the Connections group, click Edit Links. Note: The Edit Links command is unavailable if your file does not contain linked information. In the Source list, click the link that you want to break. Click Break Link.
Removing email attachments after you send is possible no matter what email you use! Now, if you are using unSend.it to remove attachments or email message content, it wont erase the email from existence. What it will do is remove the parts you are requesting to be removed, and then the email stays there.
