[Music] okay hello everyone welcome to the video in this one were going to show you how to set up a motor vehicle fixed asset purchase in xero so theres three parts to this video first were going to have to set up the chart of accounts for the new fixed asset then were going to have to record the purchase in the invoice register and then lastly well set up the asset in the fixed asset register so that you can track your depreciation in xero if you want to do that all right so lets say weve bought a motor vehicle and Ive got a copy of an invoice here lets have a look at it and we can see here it was for 33 685 with 2901 GST so if we go have a look at our balance sheet here Ill actually rather our chart of accounts and we go to assets scroll down and we can see here we got some fixed asset type accounts down the bottom here we have office equipment and we have computer equipment so theres no account here set up for a motor vehicle a car that has been purchased for our business
