The TextBox control is generally used for editable text, although it can also be made read-only. Text boxes can display multiple lines, wrap text to the size of the control, and add basic formatting. The TextBox control allows a single format for text displayed or entered in the control.
On the Design tab, in the Controls group, click Text Box. Position the pointer where you want the text box to be placed on the form or report, and then click to insert the text box. Note: Access also places a label to the left of the text box, so leave some room to the left of the pointer for the label.
In the Navigation Pane, right-click the form or report and then click Design View or Layout View on the shortcut menu. On the Design tab, in the Header/Footer group, click Title. A new label is added to the form or report header, and the form or report name is displayed as the title.
On the form template, place the cursor where you want to insert the control. If the Controls task pane is not visible, click More Controls on the Insert menu, or press ALT+I, C. Under Insert controls, click Text Box. To add a label to the control, type text above or to the left of the control, followed by a colon (:).
