Shape tools can be used to create precise geometric or custom shapes that occupy their own layer and reveal a solid color, gradient or pattern fill within their contour. This lesson is geared toward helping you become familiar with drawing different objects using different shape tools. To practice drawing different vector shapes, lets first go to the File menu, and select New to create a new Photoshop document. In the New dialog box, type one in the Width box and in the Height box type one as well. Lets change the resolution, to 300. Make sure that the resolution is set to pixels per inch.
