Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Your account with your previous service provider must remain active to transfer your number over. Make sure you do not cancel your account until after the transfer process has been completed.
To transfer your number, you need to provide your billing information, account details, and a letter of authorization to your new provider to initiate the porting process. Youll also need to share who your current provider is, the type of number youre looking to transfer, and how many phone numbers you want to port.
Typically, you cannot port a number that is currently suspended or disconnected. To successfully port your number to Lyca Mobile, it needs to be in an active and good standing with your current service provider.
If the company youre switching to doesnt offer service in your area, your number wont be able to be ported. The number youre trying to port is no longer in service. Only numbers that are currently active are eligible to be ported. Your new provider does not have an interconnection agreement with your old provider.
If your account is inactive or overdue, theres a change your provider may have deactivated your account. This can lead to a number port rejection. The solution: To continue with your port request you must have an active account.
If you decide to keep your phone number, your current plan will need to remain active until you port in at the new carrier. (Thats the process of transferring your number and contact information from your old provider to the new one.)
Complete any necessary forms with the appropriate details and lodge them with your provider. You will be notified once the ownership transfer is complete. Good to know: The process will work the same if you want to transfer your number to someone else. Just ask them to initiate the process.
How do I transfer my mobile number? Text your current provider to request a mobile PAC code. A PAC code should be given to you immediately over the phone or within two hours by text. Contact your new network and give them the PAC code. Check the SIM works in your phone and the new number has ported across.
