In practical work, we often need to enter the date in the spreadsheet. There are many types of date formats, so how do we set the date formats as we need? It should be noted that 2020-7-1 and 2020/7/1 these two date formats are recognized by the table, while 2020.7.1 and 20200701 these two formats are not recognized by the table under the date formats. We set the date format for the cell with the content 2020.7.1. After setting, we can find that the cell content has not changed. We set the format to 2020-7-1, which is recognized by the table. Then, we can see that the date format has changed. Take this table as an example. Select the table area, right-click the mouse, and select Format Cells from the shortcut menu. The shortcut key is Ctrl+1. In the pop-up Format Cells dialog box, select Date. In the Regional settings drop-down list, we can select our national language first. Select the spreadsheet area, right-click the mouse, and select Format Cells from the shortcut menu. The shortcut key is Ctrl+1. In the pop-up Format Cells dialog box, select Date. There are many date formats in Type.
Open the document and place the cursor where we want to insert the degree symbol. Click the Insert tab the Symbol drop-down button More Symbols. In the Font drop-down menu, we can select the font we want. In the Subset drop-down menu, select Latin-1 Supplement. Click the Insert button.

Follow these few steps. Select the cell range filled with date information for format changes. Right-click the cell range choose Format Cells from the pop-up menu. Get into the Date tab choose a date format in the category of Type.
Click the position where we want to insert the symbol and click the Insert tab and the Symbol drop-down button. We can see Recently Used Symbols and Custom Symbols here. These are the symbols that are frequently used in daily document editing, and we can choose the symbols we need.
Go to Insert click Symbol drop-down button choose an item to be added. For more symbols, click the Symbol button for the Symbol pop-up dialog. Here are the preview of all symbols provided in WPS Writer.
Select the cell where we want to insert a line break in, then place the mouse cursor where we start a new line, and double-click.
Click the Insert tab, and then click the Symbol button. In this Symbol popup window, we can freely choose and add the symbols we want to insert.
