hello there welcome to lesson 5 this session and this video is all about indenting okay now an indent or an indentation is basically how a paragraph begins and how far away it is from a margin okay now if you look at this sheet here on the screen these are all different paragraphs okay and this white space here on the left and on the right here are what we called the margin so this is a margin if you look at my mouse cursor and that is another margin okay now what were going to learn today is how to move our writing away from the different margins okay so thats what indentation is about or to indent the paragraph is to control the distance of the paragraph from the margin on either the left or the right the first thing you do is you look at my mouse cursor is to move your mouse cursor to the ruler tool which is on the top right hand corner of Microsoft Word okay that is it right there now if you click it you realize that a ruler bar comes up at the top okay or you can click it again
