hey welcome to houses channel in todays video you will learn how to number all pages except the first in Word 2019 open the document you want to work with go to insert tab at the top of your window look for the header and footer block you have three options to number the pages it can be header footer for page numbers click on page numbers and select bottom of page now lets change the size of our number select it and go to Home tab set the size you would like and choose the style for example make it bold or change the font double click on the number check different first page at the top of your window this option will skip the page number for the very first page of the document if you want the numbering to begin from the second page click on page numbers in the insert tab choose format page numbers check start at and put 0 click OK you can see the first page does not have the number at all and it begins with number 1 on the second page of the doc thanks for watching the video please

The title page of a book, thesis or other written work is the page at or near the front which displays its title, subtitle, author, publisher, and edition, often artistically decorated.
If you want numbering to start with 1 on the second page, go to Page Number Format Page Numbers, and set Start at to 0.
Double-click in the footer or header where you want page numbering. Go to Header Footer Footer, and then scroll to find and select Semaphore.Insert Page X of Y Go to Insert Page Number. Do one of the following: Scroll until you see Page X of Y and select a format.
The page number should show on all pages. The title page carries page number 1.
Page numbering Page 1 is normally the first page of the first chapter. The preceding pages (the frontmatter) should use Roman numerals (i, ii, iii, etc.) although they can be left unpaged if the frontmatter is very brief.
