hello Internet today I wanted to take a look at doing some really basic lighting on vertex and fragment shaders and unity and the reason is because typically when weve made chatters weve used the the standard surface shaders and those are great because they come with all the stuff you need in order to get lighting working in your shader but if you create like a default unlit shader youre going to get a vertex and fragment shader and its going to look like this so I have pretty much all the basic geometry and in this scene here except theyre using the diffuse lighting shader that Ive created which doesnt actually do diffuse lighting its just this and so it looks super simple its just doing some basic vertex collisions and then some fragment calculations Im not going into those right now because were going to be getting into those this is going to be kind of a longer video because Im going to take this very slow and try to kind of walk through what all of this is doing and k
