To find your AWS account id with the AWS CLI, run the command sts get-caller-identity and it will return the 12-digit identification number of your AWS account. To find your AWS account id in the AWS Console, click on your role name in the top right corner to view the account ID.
Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the IAM console at . In the navigation pane, choose Users. In the search box, type or paste the access key ID of the user you want to find.
A 12-digit number, such as 123456789012, that uniquely identifies an AWS account. Many AWS resources include the account ID in their Amazon Resource Names (ARNs). The account ID portion distinguishes resources in one account from the resources in another account.
In the Amazon S3 console, choose a bucket name to view the bucket details. Choose Permissions, and then scroll down to the Access control list (ACL) section. Under Bucket owner (your AWS account), the canonical user ID for the AWS account appears.
The canonical user ID is an identifier for your account. Because this identifier is used by Amazon S3, only this service provides IAM users with access to the canonical user ID. You can also view the canonical user ID for your account from the AWS Management Console while signed in as the AWS account root user.
Your AWS account name is the name that appears in the AWS Management Console next to your account ID. You choose this name when you first create the account, but you can update the name through the AWS Billing and Management console. Changing an account name is a task that requires root user credentials.
To display your AWS account ID alias, run the following command: aws iam list-account-aliases.
