if you want to add current date and time to a document here is how you can do it click on insert click on explore quick parts click on field field dialog box is displayed in categories select date and time select date you can see word displays todays date text at the bottom under field properties select the required date format click OK to add current date you can see current date is added to the document to add current time same procedure instead of date select time you can see word displays current time text at the bottom under field properties select the required time format click OK and you can see current time is added to the document now if you save this document and whenever the document is opened word displays the current date of the day and the current time

Make a selection from the Date format list. If you want the time to appear, choose the 12-hour or 24-hour format from the Time format list.
Date and time Select the cells or table you want to format, tap. , then tap Format. Tap. to the right of Date & Time. Tap the options that match the display formats you want for Date and Time. If you tap None, no date or time is displayed in the cell, even if a date or time was entered and used in calculations.

Adding date or time in Numbers on Mac If you appreciate keyboard shortcuts, you can also use Control + Command + Shift + D for the current date and Control + Command + Shift + T for the current time.
To enter values, do one of the following: Add the current date and time: Tap Now. Add today's date: Tap Today. Type a date or time: Tap the keyboard keys to manually enter dates and times—for example, 12/31 or 2:15 PM.
Use the cell action menu to quickly add the current date or time to a cell. Tap a cell, then tap at the bottom of the screen (or tap. in the top-right corner of the keyboard). Tap Today's Date or tap Current Time.
Select a cell or a range of cells you want the format to apply to, then in the Cell pane of the Format inspector, choose Create Custom Format from the Data Format pop-up menu. Type a name for your format, then choose Number from the Type pop-up menu.
Go to Settings > General > Date & Time. Turn on either of the following: Set Automatically: iPad gets the correct time over the network and updates it for the time zone you're in.
Open Messages. Click the conversation you wish to view timestamps for. On the message window, right click and select Show Times.
