In this video tutorial, the speaker demonstrates how to insert a code snippet in Microsoft Word while preserving its formatting, syntax highlighting, and line numbers. The process is divided into two parts: copying the code directly from Visual Studio or Eclipse for formatting and line numbers, or using other IDEs and code editors to copy and paste the code into Word to check if the formatting is preserved. If the code editor does not support formatting, the speaker suggests using Notepad++.

Press Alt + F9 to reveal the field codes or Shift + F9 to reveal only the currently selected field code. You can now alter the field code and details. Alt + F9 again to hide the field codes. Ctrl + A (Select all) then F9 will update all the fields in a document.

Here is the best way, for me, to add code inside word: Go to Insert tab, Text section, click Object button (it's on the right) Choose OpenDocument Text which will open a new embedded word document. Copy and paste your code from Visual Studio / Eclipse inside this embedded word page. Save and close.
This is how to do it: First, get your code ready. ... From the "Insert" tab on the top of your Word doc, select "Object". ... From the "Create New" tab, choose the OpenDocument Text option, and then click OK. ... Copy your code snippet from the code editor and then paste it into the new blank Word doc. ... There you have it.
Decoding Files To decode a file with contents that are base64 encoded, you simply provide the path of the file with the --decode flag. As with encoding files, the output will be a very long string of the original file. You may want to output stdout directly to a file.
Remove a password from a document Open the document and enter its password. Go to File > Info > Protect Document > Encrypt with Password. Clear the password in the Password box, and then click OK.
Low disk space on your system. A corrupt DOC or DOCX file is being loaded. You don't have permission to open the document. The file is blocked or protected.
To include a code element in article text, surround it with backticks (`) to indicate code style. Inline code style shouldn't use the triple-backtick format.
You know you can use the Field Codes check box on the View tab of the Options dialog box to control whether or not field codes are displayed in your document. You may even know that you can use Alt+F9 to switch between field codes and their results.
