my teachers this is Shane from math is fundamental and I created this video to show you the process that I use to make badges for my classroom were gonna be using the applications keynote and pages which are both Apple products but you could probably make this and in other things I just wouldnt use quite the same method so lets talk a little bit about some of the things you might need for this one of the things that we purchased last year that was a great Buy was this digital color paper by hammer hilt its really expensive for just 250 sheets I think with our discount we got it for like $12 a bundle but it is really really great for making badges they print very cleanly on their no no smudging its also very substantial paper so it really kind of feels like a trading card does it just feel like a thin sheet of paper it also works great for like task cards if you want to print something out thats gonna last for a long time I really do recommend this paper work great something else

Click in the text where you want to place the character, then choose Edit Emoji Symbols (or press Control-Command-Space bar).
Press a modifier key, or a combination of modifier keys, to see special characters or symbols you can type. For example, press and hold the Option key or the Option and Shift keys. An orange outline appears around dead keys, modifier keys that can be pressed with another key to enter a letter with a diacritical mark.
To make things easier for you, you can download a place card template. Then, you can start typing them in Apple Pages. This software is so accessible given that you can edit and make your place cards on your personal computer or your Mac.
In an app on your Mac, choose Edit Emoji Symbols to open the Character Viewer, or open it from the Input menu. (if available on the keyboard).
Choose View Customize Toolbar (from the menu bar at the top of your screen), then drag the missing button back to the toolbar. Its also possible that the Pages window is too narrow to show all of the buttons.
Add buttons to pages Navigate to Pages. Click Add. On the Add Page Block modal, select Buttons. Replace Add Label with the name of your button. Insert the URL of where you want the button to take users.
Inserting ASCII characters To insert an ASCII character, press and hold down ALT while typing the character code. For example, to insert the degree () symbol, press and hold down ALT while typing 0176 on the numeric keypad. You must use the numeric keypad to type the numbers, and not the keyboard.
Add a button: Choose View Customize Toolbar, then drag an item from the palette to the toolbar until a plus sign appears. Change how buttons appear: For some toolbars, you can show labels with the buttons. Choose View Customize Toolbar, click the Show pop-up menu, then choose an option.
When you edit a page, choose Insert Symbol, then click a symbol to add it to your page.
To start editing your sites layout, click the More button near the top-right corner of your browser window. Select Edit site layout.
