Im here talking small business security with Mick grub crypt your own data so in one example there was a physical break-in in Seattle and they actually took an old laptop that wasnt encrypted and they used that to remotely access other systems because it had the VPN credentials and they were able to add themselves to the payroll system and for a while they were getting paid because they didnt have good oversight yeah and they had secret information kind of on these laptops so if you just encrypt your laptop which is built into Windows its built into Mac OS its called BitLocker on Windows yeah mine has a seven word password that I have to type in every time I turn it on well you dont even have to enable the password if you dont want if its just a key downstairs but it is best to use of Patricks then if somebody takes it they cant do anything with it its its rendered useless to them

The three major encryption types are DES, AES, and RSA.
Credit card encryption is a security measure used to reduce the likelihood of credit or debit card information being stolen. It makes it impossible to access the credit card information without the corresponding encryption key that lets the merchant and financial institution conduct their transactions.
11. What are the 4 basic types of encryption systems? Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Triple DES. Blowfish. Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA)
Encryption stores your data in a form that can be read only when your phone or tablet is unlocked. Unlocking your encrypted device decrypts your data. Encryption can add protection in case your device is stolen. All Pixel phones are encrypted by default.
There are two types of encryption in widespread use today: symmetric and asymmetric encryption. The name derives from whether or not the same key is used for encryption and decryption.
Application layer encryption is a data-security solution that encrypts nearly any type of data passing through an application. When encryption occurs at this level, data is encrypted across multiple (including disk, file, and database) layers.
What Should You Encrypt? In broad terms, there are two types of data you should encrypt: personally identifiable information and confidential business intellectual property. Personally Identifiable Information (PII)PII includes any kind of information another person can use to uniquely identify you.
