Add a border or rule to paragraphs Select the text where you want to add the border or rule. In the Format sidebar, click the Layout button near the top. Click the line type pop-up menu in the Paragraph Borders controls, then choose a line style. A rule appears above each paragraph you selected.
You can insert or attach an image or a document using various methods. However, for attaching a document, only the Insert Link and Attach File methods will work.
You can link two or more text boxes so that text can flow from one text box to the next. For example, if youre creating a newsletter you could link text boxes and use them to create irregular columns of text, or continue a sidebar onto another page.
Pages can embed OpenType (OTF) and TrueType (TTF) fonts. If your document includes movies and you plan on offering your books in Apple Books, turn Apple Books Compatibility on to convert incompatible movies to images.
To embed fonts into a PDF means to hardwire them into the file so that they dont change.
Every Pages template comes with a default text box style, so when you add a text box to a document and type text in it, the box and the text use this style. You can modify this default stylechange the font, font color, color fill, and so onthen make it the new default style for the document.
Add a text box Go to Insert Text Box and then select either Draw Text Box (where the text aligns horizontally on the page) or Vertical Text Box (where the text aligns vertically on the page). Select in the document, and then drag to draw the text box the size that you want.
Adding text boxes Click Insert, then select Drawing from the drop-down menu. The Drawing dialog box will appear. Click the Text box command. Click and drag in the drawing area to create the text box. Release the mouse, and a text box will appear. When you are satisfied, click Save Close.
