Word can only embed fonts on your system that have been installed in the TTF format. If your font files are in the OTF format, you cant embed them in Word documents.
How to embed fonts in InDesign EPS If you have not already, open your InDesign file. Select File then Export. Select where you want your file to be exported, then under Format, select EPS and hit Save. Similar to the process you followed for a PDF file, you can choose to embed all of your fonts or just a subset.
Embed fonts in Word or PowerPoint Click the File tab and then click Options (its near the bottom left corner of the window). In the left column, select the Save tab. At the bottom, under Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation, select the Embed fonts in the file check box.
To ensure the consistent appearance of your documents, having embedded fonts in PDF files is a standard practice that preserves the layout and style, regardless of the device or platform on which its viewed.
Exporting fonts from InDesign To make sure that all fonts are included when exporting your artwork as PDF, go to the Advanced tab in the Export window of InDesign. This window displays the notice Only fonts with appropriate permission bits will be embedded.
To check that your fonts are embedded in docHub, go to File on the top menu and select Properties then select the Fonts tab, this will list the font used in the document. You want to check that they are either (Embedded) or (Embedded Subset).
Open your PDF in docHub Pro. Go to File Save As Other Optimized PDF. In the dialog box, click on Fonts and ensure all your fonts are listed. Check Embed all fonts and then save your PDF.
Font embedding is the inclusion of font files inside an electronic document for display across different platforms. Font embedding is controversial because it allows licensed fonts to be freely distributed.
