Strikethroughs. In order to create a crossed-out text, use the tilde in Markdown twice in a row, followed by the respective text and then another two tildes. ~~This text is struckthrough.

Code Blocks To produce a code block in Markdown, simply indent every line of the block by at least 4 spaces or 1 tab. For example, given this input: This is a normal paragraph: This is a code block. A code block continues until it docHubes a line that is not indented (or the end of the article).
Embedding Code in Markdown. If youre writing your code in markdown, the easiest way to embed snippets is to use fenced code blocks, which also allows syntax highlighting.
Turn on Markdown Formatting for notes. For this, go to Tools Options Appearance and check Use Markdown format in notes. If you decide to turn off the option, just uncheck it in the same way. Switch from Preview to Editing mode in Task Notes and Properties Pane.
Markdown syntax for a hyperlink is square brackets followed by parentheses. The square brackets hold the text, the parentheses hold the link.
To create inline code, wrap with backticks ` . To create a code block, either indent each line by 4 spaces, or place 3 backticks ``` on a line above and below the code block. A code block or span displays every character inside exactly as it was typed.
To add a code block: Edit a page or post, click Add Block or an insert point, then click Code. Open the block editor by clicking the pencil icon on the block. Add your code in the text field. If youre using the code block to display code snippets, switch the Display Source toggle on.
Markdown supports HTML, so if you need to, say, embed a YouTube video, you can just copy and paste the embed code from them, drop it into a Markdown document, and you should be good to go.
