subject= to the mailto tag. For example, the complete tag would look similar to the example below. Alternatively, add body text by adding body=body to the end of the tag, as shown in the example below. Include cc= or bcc= to fill out the CC (carbon copy) and BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) fields.
- To add a subject line, enter subject= followed by your subject text. NOTE: To include spaces in your subject text, separate each word with %20. - To add body text, enter body= followed by your body text.
To add a subject, include ? subject=your subject after the email address, and to add a body include body=your message after the subject. In this example, when the link is clicked it will open a new email addressed to recipient@example.com with subject Hello and body How are you?.
In the message, select the text or picture that you want to display as the link. On the Insert tab, click Link or Hyperlink. Under Link to, click E-mail Address. Either type the email address that you want in the E-mail address box, or select an email address in the Recently used e-mail addresses list.
