[Music] hello everyone how are you doing this is mdtech you have another quick tutorial today Im going to show you guys how to create shapes in Microsoft Word so shapes are always a nice colorful way to enhance the document so if for whatever reason you want to create a shape this tutorial will be for you so were going to just start by left clicking on the insert tab at the top left should be a third tab over all from the far left side so you want to left-click on insert and then once youre there youll want to left click on this shapes button so you see we have a lot of different shapes to choose from so we could select just some general shapes that you normally would find you have a lot of different options so I dont want to go over every single one of them but lets say you wanted to make a flowchart kind of item here you could do something like that you could change the outline of this item by clicking on the shape outline and then you can also change the color of the shape fil

Change a shape in Word For more information about selecting shapes, see Select a shape or other object. Under Text Box Tools, on the Format tab, in the Text Box Styles group, click Change Shape, and then click the shape that you want.
Add text to a shape Click Insert Draw Text Box . Draw a text box close to the shape. Click inside the text box, and start typing.
On the Insert tab, click Shapes. Click the shape you want, click anywhere in the workspace, and then drag to place the shape.
Press and hold CTRL while you select the shapes, pictures, or objects that you want to group. The Wrap Text option for each object must be other than In line with Text. For more info, see Wrap Text. , and then select Group.
Add a color or pattern behind a group of objects On the Insert tab, click the Shapes button, click the shape that you want, and then drag the shape so that it surrounds the group of objects. In the Arrange group, point to Send Backward, and then click Send to Back.
Add text to a shape Click Insert Draw Text Box . Draw a text box close to the shape. Click inside the text box, and start typing.
Hold Ctrl while you click each of the objects (could be many of them) so theyre all selected at the same time. On the Drawing Tools ribbon, in the Arrange group, click the Group button and choose Group from the menu. That combines all the selected shapes into one, which you can resize or move as you like.
Click on OK. In Print Layout view, select the shape (the block arrow). The object anchor for the shape should appearit looks like an anchor. Click on the object anchornot the actual block arrowand move the anchor until it is located to the left of a paragraph that will remain constant in the document.
