hi everybody today were going to look at Googles universal sentence encoder so this this is basically a NLP deep learning model from Google that you can download and use Im gonna show today thats basically better than bag of words or word Tyvek so bag of words you won hot and code the words and then you pass that off to the year machine learning algorithm were Tyvek you producing embeddings by trying to predict the word given the context words so the surrounding words may be the five to the left and five to the right of the middle word that youre trying to predict so words that have similar contexts are map to similar vectors in the vector space so that provides some semantic meaningfulness then you have these types of models which try to basically predict the next set of words given the prior words so universal census decoder is such a model there are some variations in it and other models that are like it such as Bert but basically these provide encoding over not just words bu

Word Embeddings are a method of extracting features out of text so that we can input those features into a machine learning model to work with text data. They try to preserve syntactical and semantic information.
In this tutorial, we will use BERT to extract features, namely word and sentence embedding vectors, from text data. What can we do with these word and sentence embedding vectors? First, these embeddings are useful for keyword/search expansion, semantic search and information retrieval.
In natural language processing (NLP), a word embedding is a representation of a word. The embedding is used in text analysis. Typically the representation is a real-valued vector that encodes the meaning of the word in such a way that words that are closer in the vector space are expected to be similar in meaning.
Some of the popular word embedding methods are: Binary Encoding. TF Encoding.
After the sentences were inputted to BERT, because of BERT's word-level embeddings, the most common way to generate a sentence embedding was by averaging all the word-level embeddings or by using the output of the first (i.e. the [CLS] ).
We explained the cross-encoder architecture for sentence similarity with BERT. SBERT is similar but drops the final classification head, and processes one sentence at a time. SBERT then uses mean pooling on the final output layer to produce a sentence embedding.
Word Embedding with BERT Model The BERT base model uses 12 layers of transformer encoders as discussed, and each output per from each layer of these can be used as a word embedding!.
Sentence embedding are similar to the word embedding but instead of words, they encode whole sentence into vector representation.
Historically, one of the main limitations of static word embeddings or word vector space models is that words with multiple meanings are conflated into a single representation (a single vector in the semantic space). In other words, polysemy and homonymy are not handled properly.
