want to know an easier way to expose sony slog3 footage this is it now youamp;#39;re probably used to this where it just shows you the whole scene as an average of being at plus point three now the problem with this is that because that is an average there might be things that are still over or underexposed but we can actually set up the camera so that i can actually move my focus point and this black circle will follow within that black circle is an accurate exposure reading so if i go to alex turneramp;#39;s face it shows me that that is plus 1.3 but if i go to the black table there it shows me that that is negative 1.7 go to the white wall that is zero alex turneramp;#39;s face plus 1.3 you can also tap on the part of the screen that you want to focus on or expose on and it will do exactly the same thing so if youamp;#39;re new to exposing slog3 footage or if youamp;#39;re exposing in more demanding situations with contrasting light this could be really useful letamp;#39;s tak

This means they retain all the image data from the sensor without any compression. However, DNG files are generally smaller than RAW files. This is because DNG uses a more efficient form of compression. Despite the smaller size, there is no loss in image quality.
One of the largest benefits of RAW is the ability to recover shadows and highlights in post-processing without bringing in the grainy noise usually associated with high ISO settings. RAWs are very forgiving if you have severely underexposed or overexposed areas.
DNG files are generally 15-20% smaller than RAW files, but the difference in quality is minimal. A DNG file can also save the original RAW file within itself. This doubles the size, but is also a nice safeguard. DNG files also strip out select information to decrease the size and simplify storage and editing.
Lightroom has a built-in function to help you find the original file, and its very easy. You simply right click on an image or thumbnail and choose Show in Finder (on Mac) or Show in Explorer (on Windows). That will then open a separate Finder or Explorer panel for you and go directly to the file and highlight it.

A RAW file is the uncompressed and unprocessed image data captured by a digital camera or scanners sensors. Shooting in RAW captures a high level of image detail, with large file sizes and lossless quality.
Post-processing Higher image quality translates into more available data when it comes to photo editing, giving RAWs a definitive edge over JPEGs. Editing programmes like docHub Camera RAW, Bridge or Lightroom are built for fine-tuning RAWs into polished final photos.
Embed the entire non-DNG raw file inside the DNG file. This creates a larger DNG file, but it allows the original raw file to be extracted later in needed.
