To embed an image in an HTML email in Outlook, open a new email and click the Insert tab at the top. Then, click Pictures and select the image you want to embed from your computer. After inserting the image, confirm its size is appropriate for the email.
To insert a picture that displays in the body of an email message, use the following steps: Position your cursor where you want the image in your message. In the ribbon, select Insert Pictures. Browse your computer or online file locations for the picture you want to insert.
To insert a picture in the body of your email message, place your cursor in the body of the email message, select the Insert menu, and then choose Pictures from the Illustrations group on the Ribbon. If the picture looks too big (or too small), you can use the sizing handles on the picture to resize the image.
Go to photos.google.com, open any picture and click Share Create Link to get a shareable link of that image. Paste that Google Photos link in the box below to generate the HTML embed code.
CID images work by attaching the image to the email you send and then using standard HTML image tags that reference that image to eventually embed it in the email when the user opens it.
Drag-and-drop embedding Email providers, like Gmail, allow you to drag an image from a folder and drop it into an area inside the compose box that says attach files here. Gmail will automatically embed the image and realign it so its in line with the rest of the plain text.
