But why is the Mac charger designed this way? Well that what Ill explain right now. So a feature of Apples notebook chargers for over a decade has been a removable outlet plug. It used to make more sense why the capability existed when MacBooks still included extension cables in the box. Since users could simply pull off the charger plug and slide on the extension cable. I need the bullet point shortcut all the time. On a Mac its easy to remember if you just want the dot () and not a formatted list. Its Alt-8. Think of it as the alternative to the asterisk (which lives on the 8 key on most keyboards).
For Mac Word, to insert bullet press Command-Shift-L.
How to type a bullet point on a Mac Open the document in which you want to create the bullet list. Place the cursor in the document. Press Option + 8 on the keyboard and type the text. To move to the next bullet, press Enter.
On Mac OS X the Insert key is called the Help key. In other words, if you plug a regular PC keyboard into a Mac and hit the Insert key, it is the same as hitting the Help key on an older Mac keyboard.
Add lists in Notes on Mac Type an asterisk followed by a space. Type a hyphen followed by a space. Type a number and period followed by a space. Click the Format button , then choose Bulleted List, Dashed List, or Numbered List. (You can also use the Touch Bar.)
In macOS, select Option + 8. In Android and iOS, use the bullet point symbol on the second screen of the number keypad.
