How to insert bullet points in Excel using keyboard shortcuts. The quickest way to put a bullet symbol into a cell is this: select the cell and press one of the following combinations using the numeric keypad on your keyboard. Alt + 7 or Alt + 0149 to insert a solid bullet. ○ Alt + 9 to insert an empty bullet.
To anchor a cell or range reference, put a $ in front of the row or the column or both. Anchoring allows you to easily increment a formula in your tables.
To anchor a row: If you want to only anchor a row, you can press the F4 key twice after clicking on a cell. For example, if you click on the A1 cell and press F4 twice, it changes to A$1. To anchor a column: If you want to only anchor a column, you can press the F4 key three times after clicking on a cell.
Assuming that you already have a few shapes on the worksheet, you can add a connect by clicking the Insert tab, going to the Shapes dropdown and selecting one of the connector types in the Lines group, shown in the image below.
To anchor a cell in Excel, use the dollar sign ($) before the column letter and row number in a formula. For instance, to anchor cell A1, you would use $A$1 in your formula. This locks the cells reference, allowing you to copy the formula without changing the reference to A1.
Click inside the cell of the spreadsheet where you want to insert the object. In the Object dialog box, click the Create from File tab. Click Browse, and select the file you want to insert. If you want to insert an icon into the spreadsheet instead of show the contents of the file, select the Display as icon check box.
Click on the cell where you want to anchor the top-left corner of the image. Go to the Insert tab on the Ribbon. Click on Pictures or Online Pictures, depending on whether you want to insert an image from your computer or an online source. Choose the image and click Insert.
Insert Bullet Points in Excel Using the ALT key Select the cell where you want to insert bullet points. Press ALT+7 or ALT+9 to insert a bullet point in Excel. ALT + Number Combo. Insert a line break using ALT+Enter. Drag using the fill handle to duplicate the bullet points. Go to Insert Symbol. Choose an appropriate font.
