if youve ever designed something in illustrator that contains image files that youve imported onto your document and then sent that document to somebody else then you may have run into a problem where the person you sent the file to is unable to view the images once they open the document the reason why this happens is because by default illustrator links the images to the document rather than embedding them or in other words illustrator is referring to the location of those images on your hard drive to display them and if the person you sent that document to doesnt also have those images saved on their hard drive with the same file names and locations then they wont be able to view them either its kind of like using a font for a design and then sending that design to somebody else who doesnt also have that font installed on their computer the solution in that scenario would be to convert your text to outlines before sending the file when it comes to working with images though t

Hold down the icon for the Mobi file attachment. A menu should open which says Open In. Select Kindle.
1 Get the latest version of the Kindle app for your Android phone or tablet. 2 Open or select the file you want to send and tap the Share icon. 3 Select Kindle in the sharing options.
If you're using anything other than a Kindle or the Kindle app, then EPUB is the better format. The only real reason to use MOBI is for compatibility with Amazon's e-reader and app, but otherwise it has no advantages over EPUB, which is a widely accepted format that is much easier to work with.
To insert an image: Go to the Insert tab. In the Illustrations section, click Pictures. Select the file from your computer and click Insert.
The Kindle shows all content on the screen at 300 PPI in black and white E INK. This includes, cover art, PDF files, pictures and imagery of any kind.
Kindles, which are electronic devices for reading e-books, can display color content in certain models, but not all of them. Some newer Kindle models, such as the Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Oasis and Kindle Fire tablets, have color screens and are able to display color content such as images and diagrams.
MOBI and AZW are now outdated. Newer software features on Kindle devices and in the Kindle app will not work for these files. Any MOBI/AZW files already in your library will still exist and will still open, but may not have all features available as mentioned above.
You can, and it is very simple. The easiest way to add images in ebooks is by using Microsoft Word. Your images can be in color. But depending on what device a reader uses, your images may change to black and white on devices such as Kindles.
A bigger factor is that Amazon dominates the ebook market, and their preferred formats — epub and mobi — do not play nice with images. At all.
When should I stop providing MOBI files for reflowable eBooks? We recommend authors and publishers to start providing EPUB, DOC/DOCX or KPF files as soon as possible for new and/or updated version of your reflowable eBooks. We will officially stop accepting MOBI files for reflowable eBooks on August 1, 2021.
