To password-protect, a PDF on a PC, simply open the file in WPS PDF Tools and click on the Security tab. Then, enter the desired password and click OK. The next time the document is opened, a password will be required in order to view the contents.
In the top-left corner of the WPS Office interface, click on the Menu tab. From the options on the left-hand menu, select Option. In the Option section, click on Security. A dropdown menu will appear. Enter the desired password in the Password box.
lSteps to add a password to PDF in WPS Office. Open the PDF file in WPS Office. Navigate to the Protect tab, and click the Encrypt button. In the Encryption dialog, check Set the open password, enter and confirm the password to stop viewing. Click Confirm and finish the operation.
How to Password Protect WPS Files Online Pick a WPS file to lock by clicking the Choose File button at the top of the page or via drag and drop. Enter a password of choice in the dialogue box that pops up and click Save to confirm.

Protect a document with a password Go to File Info Protect Document Encrypt with Password. Type a password, press OK, type it again and press OK to confirm it. Save the file to make sure the password takes effect.
You can password protect documents in other formats using WPS Office. To do this, open the document you want to password protect, click Menu Protect Encrypt with Password, select the format, enter a password, and confirm it. The following formats can be password protected: DOCX, DOC, ODT, RTF, and PDF.
Go to the Protect tab, and click the Set Password button. Then select the Permission Password option. Enter your desired password and permissions. Once confirmed, click on the Save button to apply, and save your PDF file.
