In LaTeX, you can use the % (percent sign) to comment out a line of text in your source code. If youd like to include comments that appear in the PDF of your project, you can use the todonotes package.
The footnote facility is easy to use. The command you need is: \footnote{text} . Do not leave a space between the command and the word where you wish the footnote marker to appear, otherwise LaTeX will process that space and will leave the output not looking as intended.
You can insert comments into the LaTeX input (*. tex) file. Anything following a percent sign (%) until the end of the line is ignored by the LaTeX processor. would produce this is an extraordinarily long word with no breaks.
The start of a multi-line comment uses /* , each line following with a single * , and ending the multi-line comment with */ . Use single line comments to leave a comment for a single line in your code.
Command: TeX-comment-or-uncomment-paragraph ( C-c % ) Add or remove % from the beginning of each line in the current paragraph. When removing % characters the paragraph is considered to consist of all preceding and succeeding lines starting with a % , until the first non-comment line.
Summary of the procedure Firstly, locate the end table command in your Latex code. Next, add your notes. To add horizontal lines between your table and notes, use the command \hline. Lastly, if you want to add a second horizontal line, you can simply use the \hline command again.
You can insert a footnote marker using the \verb|\footnotemark|\footnotemark{} command and later, when youre ready, typeset the footnote text by writing \verb|\footnotetext{Heres the footnote.} |. \footnotetext{Heres the footnote.}
On your computer, open a document, spreadsheet, or presentation. Highlight the text, images, cells, or slides you want to comment on. Type your comment. Click Comment.
